| Final stage: Debauchery part one, March 11th, 2008I don't have a huge amount to say. A couple of weeks back I got roped into doing some accounts work for the mountain and I agreed on the basis that it wouldn't affect my teaching. I didn't want to but have accepted that it means I'm able to go on an unforgettable 3 week ski holiday at the end of the season. It also means that I can buy some new ski boots (tomorrow!) and an ipod. We had a school group today who were just up for a one off lesson. At the back of the rentals building where people gather for lessons, there was a snowball fight and not one of the 50 or so school students was involved! They were just watching their immature instructors have too much fun. Also today, whilst discussing reasons for dismissing people, I flicked a rubber band at the head of HR and hit her directly above the nose! I then laughed quite a lot and she told me that I was fired. Except I have to work tommorow and the next day.. The ski school recently had a 'picnic on the peak'. But it was a bbq. I had a fantastic afternoon and did the city booter (google it), as well as getting first tracks down a couple of faces from the peak. I've thought for the first time over the last couple of weeks that my skiing has actually improved this season. It only took three months! Photos on facebook. There'll be more when they get tagged. |
