Stage 11: Practise, September 20th, 2007

I took some new photos, my favourite being one from after a relaxing breakfast yesterday:

The rest are from the lake front in Queenstown. Can you figure out why I like it here?

Had a very relaxing day off (slept mostly) after my exam, then Ed (UWBC) arrived. Was quite strange at first seeing someone who I already knew. Reminds me; since I've been here I've met another recent Warwick graduate, a person who lives in Tile Hill (Coventry) and someone that went to St. Christopher's, about 100m from my old house (would have lived there when he was there).

Ed hadn't really been skiing before which was fairly obvious out on the slopes. It was also obvious which side he rowed on; he would always seem to have his arms out towards bow side. Did a few days skiing with him, which was good but my requests for $540 after each day weren't particularly fruitful!

Haven't done too much since besides job applications for here in Queenstown, next season in North America and next year back in the UK. Have a few job offers now for instructing work in both the States and Canada, think I will accept one in British Columbia. It's meant to be pretty nice there.

You can probably see from the photos but the weather here is currently on a par with the best British summer I can remember and I'm by a stunning lake surrounded by snow capped mountains. Thought I'd remind you!

Took this from the cafe that I'm sat at:

Presenting reception with a picture of the mouse will:-
get me gagged & thrown out
get me a free night
get the kitchen closed and annoy everyone
