I've now had some private lessons (and almost bankrupted myself in the process at £120 for 3 hours!). Reassuringly, within the first half of a run that we did, my instructor told me that my skiing was good enough to do the course, and not a 'what on earth were you thinking?'. I have some proof that I'm good enough, too:



One thing I perhaps wasn't expecting from my lessons was homework - since my instructors manual hasn't arrived yet, he gave me what's pretty much a photocopy of his as well as lasts years written exam and a few other things. I had a particularly enjoyable Saturday night as a result!

An aside: I haven't really mentioned the snow, probably because it's not all to great. Not really had any new stuff since I've arrived either. I'm told it's a load better at Treble Cone, where I'm doing my first course. Should be driving down this evening and sorting some accommodation out.
